António Valentim

António Valentim is an Assistant Professor in European Politics and Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He holds a PhD in Political Science from the DYNAMICS graduate school at Humboldt University Berlin and the Hertie School. His research focuses on political behavior, environmental politics, and representation in established democracies, particularly addressing how voters respond to climate change and how political elites formulate climate policies.

• Education: BA in Psychology (University of Coimbra), MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology (LSE), PhD in Political Science (DYNAMICS/Humboldt University).
• Research Interests: Climate change politics, voter behavior, political elites, gender representation, comparative politics.

He has taught courses on environmental politics, causal inference, and the green transition at LSE and Humboldt University. His work appears in top journals like Nature Climate Change and the American Journal of Political Science. António is affiliated with the Humboldt Governance Lab and has held visiting positions at Sciences Po and IESP-UERJ.
