António Oliveira

António Oliveira is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Catholic Portugal (UCP), affiliated with the Research Centre for Human Development (CEDH). He holds a PhD in Education from UCP’s Faculty of Education and Psychology (awarded 2019), focusing on hidden school dropout phenomena. His research emphasizes school disengagement, academic performance metrics, behavioral disorders in educational contexts, and the ethical dimensions of eHealth technologies.

Key research interests include hidden dropout dynamics, qualitative studies on student behavior, and policy-driven interventions to enhance educational success. Collaborations span Portuguese academic institutions and international networks, particularly in Europe. Oliveira has supervised four theses at UCP, contributing to the development of pedagogical strategies and institutional self-evaluation frameworks.

His work bridges educational sociology and healthcare ethics, addressing silent dropout phenomena through case studies and advocating for interdisciplinary approaches. Recent studies explore the silent nature of school disengagement and the ethical challenges in digital healthcare systems.
