Antti Karkman is a University Lecturer at the Department of Microbiology, University of Helsinki, and affiliated with the Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS). He serves as a supervisor for doctoral programs in Food Chain and Health, and in Microbiology and Biotechnology. His research focuses span microbiology, virology, ecology, and evolutionary biology, with particular emphasis on antibiotic resistance and environmental microbiology.
