Antony Scimone

Dr. Antony Scimone is a Research Fellow at the University of Bradford addressing the critical global challenge of antimicrobial resistance, with research focused on developing novel materials and methods to combat biofilm-associated infections that contribute significantly to treatment failures. His work directly responds to the O'Neill report's prediction of 10 million annual deaths from antimicrobial resistance by 2050.

He earned his BSc in Biomedical Science in 2013 from Manchester Metropolitan University and completed his PhD in antimicrobial materials in 2019.
