Prof. Dr. Antonio Miras is a full-time Professor of Business Law at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. His academic career includes legal practice as a prosecutor, judge, notary, and lawyer, with expertise in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial law.
Education & Career: Studied law at Konstanz, earned a Dr. iur. from Freiburg University. Served as prosecutor (drug crimes), civil judge, notary, and legal advisor to Stuttgart's Gleiss Lutz firm. Prior to Osnabrück, he was a professor at Pforzheim University since 2009.
Research Focus: Specializes in corporate law (GmbH, silent partnerships), legal liability, and compliance. His work addresses defects in company formation, contractual obligations, and cross-border corporate issues. He contributes to authoritative legal commentaries like the Münchener Handbuch des Gesellschaftsrechts.
Publications: Authored/co-authored over 30 scholarly works, including commentaries on German company law, legal analyses of corporate governance, and anti-discrimination case studies. Recent topics include liability limitations in corporate structures and contractual defects in silent partnerships.
