Antonino Raffone is a Full Professor at the Department of Psychology, Sapienza University of Rome, and a Visiting Professor at the School of Buddhist Studies, Nalanda University (India). He earned his BSc, MSc, and PhD in Psychology from Sapienza University, along with a European Diploma in Cognitive and Brain Sciences. His research bridges cognitive neuroscience, mindfulness practices, and Buddhist studies.

Raffone’s work explores the neural mechanisms of meditation, bodily self-representation, and the interplay between environmental awareness and behavioral change. He investigates DNA methylation in motor training, stress reduction in healthcare workers, and sleep reactivity in sensory-processing sensitivity.
As an editorial leader, he serves as Assistant Field Chief Editor for Frontiers in Psychology and Specialty Chief Editor for Consciousness Research, while also contributing as a Review Editor for Cognitive Science.
