Dr Antonia Weberling is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at All Souls College, University of Oxford since 2023. Her research focuses on Developmental Biology, Species Conservation, Embryology, and Stem Cell Research. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (2017-2022) under Prof Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz, and degrees from Freie Universität Berlin.
Her work examines embryogenesis mechanisms, particularly in human and mouse models, with emphasis on pluripotency transitions and integrin signaling during implantation. She has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge and was a Visiting Scholar at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research (2023).
Key research trends include single-cell analysis of embryonic development, comparative embryology between species, and biomechanical influences on embryonic shape. Her publications bridge basic biology with clinical implications through studies of stem cell dynamics and morphogenetic processes.
- Awards: 5-year All Souls Fellowship (2023), Cambridge Philosophical Society Travel Grant (2023), Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions PhD Fellowship (2017-2020)
Teaching includes supervising Natural Sciences undergraduates in Physiology of Organisms at Clare College, Cambridge (2020-2023).
