Professor Antoni Mironowicz is a distinguished scholar at the University of Białystok, specializing in Eastern European history with particular focus on the Orthodox Church. He holds the position of Professor and has served as Head of the Department of the History of Borderland Cultures at the Institute of Sociology. His extensive academic career includes significant appointments as Vice-director of the Institute of History at the University of Białystok (2004-2005) and various committee memberships at the university level.
Professor Mironowicz's research interests center around the History of Eastern Europe and the History of the Orthodox Church, with particular expertise in Belarusian religious history, Orthodox monasticism, church-state relations, and the development of Eastern Christianity in Poland. His scholarly work demonstrates deep engagement with the religious, cultural, and political dynamics of Eastern Europe, particularly focusing on the Polish-Belarusian borderlands.
