Anton Fürst

Prof. Dr. Anton Fürst is a Professor and Head of the Division of Equine Surgery at the Equine Department, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich. He is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) and oversees a high-caseload equine hospital.

Research Focus: His expertise spans all areas of equine surgery, with specialized studies in orthopaedic conditions. Key interests include:

• Investigation of subchondral cystic lesions (SCLs) etiology and pathogenesis
• Development of biologically active implant materials for SCL treatment
