Antoine Garapon, Ph.D., is an Affiliated Professor at the Law School of Sciences Po (Paris, France) since 2021. Born in 1952, he served as a juvenile judge for many years and created the Institute for Advanced Judicial Studies, which he chaired until 2020. He is a member of the editorial board of the French Review Esprit and has authored influential works on legal philosophy, digital justice, and social mediation.

Garapon's research spans juvenile justice, comparative legal cultures (French vs. Common Law), and the anthropological shifts caused by digital technologies in the justice system. His key publications include Le gardien des promesses (1996), Juger en Amérique et en France (foreword by Justice Breyer), and recent books on digital justice: Justice digitale (2018) and Le numérique contre le politique (2021). He also launched the Bien commun collection at Michalon Publishing and hosts a weekly radio program, Esprit de justice, on France-Culture.
