Antoine Ferey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Sciences Po (tenure track) since 2023. He holds a PhD in Economics from CREST and Ecole Polytechnique (2021), awarded two PhD Dissertation Awards from AFSE and IP Paris. His research focuses on public economics, combining theoretical and empirical approaches to analyze tax-benefit systems, income/wealth taxes, and unemployment insurance. He is affiliated with the CESifo Network and Institut des politiques publiques.

Research interests include optimal tax design, policy interactions, and microsimulation tools. His work highlights the interplay between redistribution and unemployment insurance, emphasizing efficient policy frameworks. Notable awards include the ITAX PhD Award (2019) and Distinguished CESifo Affiliate Award.
He will be a visiting assistant professor at Harvard University in 2025, teaching part of the public economics PhD course. He organizes the Paris Tax Workshop and maintains an active research agenda in tax policy and public economics.
