Antoine Duquette is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Montreal and a neurologist at the CHUM. His expertise lies in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly spinocerebellar ataxias and neurogenetic disorders. He holds clinical roles in specialized neurology clinics at CHUM.
Education: MD (2002), M.Sc. in Neurosciences (2005), Postdoc at Harvard (2014). Research focuses on genetic mechanisms of neurodegeneration, using Drosophila models to study tauopathies and DNA repair pathways.
Key awards include the IRSC Clinician-Scientist Fellowship and the 2021 Innovation and Inspiration Prize. Active in clinical trials for progressive supranuclear palsy and Friedreich's ataxia. Leads research projects on neurodegenerative genetics and collaborates with CRIR and CRCHUM laboratories.
