Antje Horsch

Antje Horsch is an Associate Professor (since 2021) and Vice-Director of Research (since 2022) at the University Institute for Training and Research in Healthcare (IUFRS), part of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). She is affiliated with the Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) at CHUV as a research consultant.

• Research focus: Stress/trauma impact on parental and child mental health during perinatal periods, intergenerational trauma transmission, and development of evidence-based interventions
• Leadership roles: Founded the Lausanne Perinatal Research Group (since 2012), President of Society for Reproductive and Infant Psychology and Swiss Perinatal Research Special Interest Group

Her research combines clinical and laboratory approaches to optimize memory reconsolidation-based PTSD treatments. Key projects include the ASTRAL study (SNSF grant #205434) developing single-session interventions for childbirth-related PTSD. She also founded the (Re)Naissances Association for parental trauma support and designed a traveling exhibition on perinatal mental health.
