Anthony W. Confer

Anthony W. Confer serves as Professor and Sitlington Endowed Chair for Food Animal Research in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at Oklahoma State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, he teaches veterinary pathology to professional students, graduate students, and pathology residents.

His research focuses on immune responses against Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica in bovine respiratory disease, establishing international recognition in food animal pathology. This work bridges veterinary medicine, immunology, and infectious disease control with direct agricultural applications.

Dr. Confer's scientific contributions have been recognized through:
