Anthony M. Kelley is a Professor of the Practice of Music and Theater Studies, and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Music at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He joined the Duke faculty in 2000, previously serving as Composer-in-Residence with the Richmond Symphony under a grant from Meet the Composer, Inc. His work bridges music, theater, and interdisciplinary arts engagement, emphasizing community interaction through artistic collaboration.
Education: PhD in Music (University of California, Berkeley, 2001); MA (Duke University, 1990); BA (Duke University, 1987).
Research interests include music composition, 20th-century music studies, jazz history, and arts education.
