Anthony J Mancini

Anthony J Mancini, MD is Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and serves as Head of the Division of Pediatric Dermatology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. He holds dual appointments in the Department of Pediatrics and Dermatology and acts as Associate Program Director for the pediatric dermatology fellowship training program. Dr. Mancini is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

His educational background includes a BS from the University of Arizona (1986-1987), MD from University of Arizona (1991), Pediatrics Internship at Stanford University Hospitals (1992), Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatrics & Pediatric Dermatology at Stanford (1993), and Dermatology Residency/Chief Residency at Stanford University Hospitals (1996). He maintains board certification in both Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Mancini's research focuses on infantile hemangiomas, atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris, and pediatric medical education. His scholarly output includes over 275 peer-reviewed publications, with recent work emphasizing vaccine-associated skin complications, diagnostic delays in pediatric lichen sclerosus, midfacial toddler excoriation syndrome, and long-term outcomes in PHACE syndrome. His publication trends reveal sustained contributions to vascular anomalies research, clinical guideline development, and global pediatric dermatology collaboration.

Current external engagements include CDC Chronic Disease Education workgroup membership and editorial board positions for Pediatric Dermatology and Journal of Pediatrics.
