Anthony Ian Riccio

Anthony Ian Riccio, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He serves as a pediatric surgeon at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and provides orthopaedic trauma coverage at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Riccio graduated from Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. His training includes a general surgery internship at the National Naval Medical Center, orthopaedic surgery residency at Georgetown University, and a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.

His research focuses on pediatric orthopaedic conditions such as clubfoot treatment via the Ponseti method, pediatric fractures (e.g., femur, tibia, ankle), and musculoskeletal trauma. He explores biomechanical aspects of surgical techniques, obesity’s impact on surgical outcomes, and clinical decision-making in pediatric orthopaedics.
