Anthony G. Volini

Anthony G. Volini is a Professor of Legal Practice at DePaul University College of Law, specializing in Legal Writing, Patent Drafting, IP Licensing, Cybersecurity, and Data Privacy. He is a full-time faculty member and U.S. Registered Patent Attorney, actively collaborating with DePaul’s College of Computing & Digital Media on interdisciplinary technology education for law students.

• Education: BS from Benedictine University, JD from Loyola University Chicago, MS in Cybersecurity from DePaul University

Volini contributes to shaping the law school’s technology and intellectual property curriculum. His professional experience includes patent prosecution and infringement analysis in mechanical devices, plastics, surgical navigation equipment, and insecticides, along with being an inventor on U.S. Patent 7,308,992 for aerosol actuating technology.

As a member of DePaul’s Center for Intellectual Property Law & Information Technology (CIPLIT®), he advises students on interviewing, networking, and resume writing, while assisting with job placement coordination. His certifications include CSX Cybersecurity Fundamentals, CIPP/US, and CIPP/E.
