Anthony Cuda is a Professor of English and Associate Head of the Department of English at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). He has been a faculty member since 2006 and assumed his current administrative role in 2013. His expertise lies in transatlantic modernism, with a focus on T.S. Eliot’s poetry and prose, as well as medieval literature, particularly Dante. Cuda holds a Ph.D. from Emory University (2004) and a B.A. from Duquesne University (1998).
Cuda’s research centers on modernist writers’ exploration of passion and their engagement with cultural and historical contexts. He co-edited The Complete Prose of T. S. Eliot, which won the 2015 Modernist Studies Association Book Prize. He oversees the digital edition of this work and directs the T.S. Eliot International Summer School in Oxford, offering immersive academic programs on Eliot’s legacy.
His publications span monographs, edited volumes, and articles on Eliot, Yeats, Woolf, and Mann, analyzing themes such as modernist aesthetics, dramatic form, and archival discoveries.
