Anthony Cannatella

Anthony Cannatella is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at St. John's University, affiliated with both St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Collins College of Professional Studies. He teaches courses such as THE1000C, THE140, THE1045, and THE2205, and serves as Chairperson of Theology at St. Mary’s College Preparatory High School in Manhasset, New York.

• M.A. in Theology, Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies, Washington D.C.
• Pursuing Licentiate in Canon Law at The Catholic University of America (anticipated August 2024)

Cannatella specializes in Thomistic Moral Theology, Virtue Ethics, and Canon Law. His research includes analyzing espionage through Aquinas’ Just War Theory and exploring Penal Law in Roman Catholic canon law. He is fluent in Latin, French, and Biblical Greek and an active member of the Canon Law Society of America.

Currently working on his Licentiate in Canon Law, Cannatella combines theological scholarship with practical ecclesiastical legal training. His academic career bridges undergraduate teaching at St. John's University with high school theology leadership at St. Mary’s College Preparatory High School.
