Anthony Annett serves as a Climate Change and Sustainable Development Advisor at the Earth Institute, Columbia University, where he leads initiatives to engage global religious communities in climate action and sustainable development. His work bridges economics, ethics, and interfaith collaboration, including contributions to the encyclical Laudato Si'. Previously, he spent 16 years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C., working across European, Fiscal Affairs, and Communications departments, and served as a speechwriter for IMF Managing Directors Dominique Strauss-Kahn and Christine Lagarde.
Annett's research interests focus on the intersection of economics and ethics, particularly through the lens of Catholic social teaching. He has collaborated with the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and Religions for Peace to integrate religious perspectives into environmental and development frameworks.
