Dr. Ante Rađa serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department for Quality Assurance and Improvement at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split. Appointed Docent (Assistant Professor) in December 2022, he teaches undergraduate courses in Football Theory and Methodology and graduate courses in Futsal, contributing to Croatia's premier sports science institution.
His academic credentials include:
- Graduate studies at Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split (2010)
- Doctor of Science (Dr. sc.) from Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split (2016)
Rađa's research centers on the Relative Age Effect in youth sports, with specialized focus on football and futsal talent identification systems. His work examines how chronological and biological age disparities impact player development, performance metrics, and selection biases in competitive youth environments. He investigates anthropometric profiles, kicking biomechanics, and situational efficiency across developmental stages.
Analysis of his 25+ publications reveals consistent emphasis on youth soccer performance metrics, particularly ball kicking speed as a talent indicator, positional efficiency in elite U-19 players, and defensive tactics in futsal. His ESA program research demonstrates methodological rigor in field-based fitness assessment for European children, highlighting spatial constraints in recreational football and longitudinal monitoring of motor coordination.
As active participant in the European Sport Academy (ESA) program, Rađa contributes to multinational research on physical fitness monitoring in youth sports across Europe, developing evidence-based frameworks for enriched sport activities and talent development pathways.
