Annkathrin Koppers

Annkathrin Koppers is a Researcher at the Institute for German Philology within the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Würzburg. She serves as Coordinator of the DFG Priority Program SPP 2130 "Translation Cultures of the Early Modern Period" and maintains an office at Am Hubland, Building PH1, Room 4 U 5, 97074 Würzburg with consultation hours by appointment.

Her research specializes in German Philology with concentrated expertise in Medieval German Literature and Early Modern Period cultural studies. Key investigations include literary networks of figures like Johann Werner von Zimmern, translation cultures as knowledge transfer mechanisms, manuscript analysis in medieval literary contexts, and historical interpretations of events like the Peasants' War. She examines how social allegories, value communication systems, and gaming enthusiasm manifest in late medieval texts.

Koppers actively contributes to third-party funded research initiatives including the Würzburg College "Middle Ages and Early Modern Period" and the Medieval Studies Association's project database.
