Annika Hanberg is a Professor of Toxicology at the Institute of Environmental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. She serves as Programme Director for the Global Master's Programme in Toxicology since 2006 and has been a leading figure in health risk assessment for national agencies, EU bodies, and the WHO since the 1980s. Her work focuses on methodological advancements in risk assessment, including systematic reviews, mixture toxicity, endocrine disruptors, and dose-response evaluation. She co-leads the Health Risk Assessment Methodology Group under Anna Beronius and is a key member of the Horizon Europe-funded PARC (Partnership for Risk Assessment of Chemicals) initiative.
