Annika Bergquist

Annika Bergquist is a Professor of Gastroenterology with a focus on Hepatology at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge, Karolinska Institutet. As a Senior Physician, she leads the Annika Bergquist research group, specializing in autoimmune liver diseases, particularly primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and bile duct cancer. Her work bridges clinical practice, translational research, and epidemiology, addressing disease mechanisms, diagnostic tools, and treatment strategies.
