معرفی
Annika Andersson is a Senior Lecturer at Linnaeus University's Department of Swedish, Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She holds a PhD in cognitive neuroscience from the University of Oregon. Her research focuses on second language acquisition, language processing in children, and bilingualism, employing ERP studies to investigate brain activity during language comprehension. She leads the LiLa Lab (Language, Cognition, and Culture Lab) and coordinates courses such as 'Efficient Scientific Writing' and 'Language Learning Under Special Conditions.' Key projects include the Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation-funded study on language processing (2020–2025) and the RYE project on phonological training in educational contexts.
Education: Preschool teacher training (Kristianstad University, 1986), BA/BS in Psychology and Linguistics (University of Oregon), followed by MS/PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. Her work bridges developmental psychology, linguistics, and neuroscience to understand multilingualism and neuroplasticity in language learners.
Research Interests: Second language acquisition mechanisms, ERP-based neurophysiological studies of language processing, effects of first language on second language processing, and educational interventions for multilingual children. Recent studies explore semantic processing in verbal/visual narratives and cross-linguistic influence on verb semantics.
Grants & Projects: Over SEK 5 million in grants, including Wallenberg funding for ERP studies in child language disorders and strategic investments in phonological training research. Collaborates with groups like NordEdLing and RIDE.
Labs/Teams: Director of LiLa Lab, part of the Educational Linguistics and Language Processing research networks.
