Annie Nickum

Annie Nickum is an Assistant Professor and Information Services and Liaison Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), affiliated with the Information Services and Research department since September 2019. She holds an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (2013) and a BSN from the University of Iowa (2009). Her research focuses on nursing information literacy, evidence-based practice, and the integration of librarians into healthcare teams. Notable projects include the NExT series grants, which aim to bridge nursing expertise with evidence-based practice.

Her professional activities include service on UIC’s Guidelines and Protocols Oversight Committee, Interprofessional Patient Education Committee, and roles in the Medical Library Association.
