Annick Payne

Annick Payne is an Associate Professor at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her research focuses on Anatolian hieroglyphs, Lydian and Phrygian languages, and the historical and cultural contexts of the Ancient Near East.

Her recent publications address topics such as Phrygian inscriptions, Luwian hieroglyphic writing systems, and linguistic analysis of ancient Anatolian languages. She has contributed to edited volumes and peer-reviewed journals like Written Language & Literacy and News from the Lands of the Hittites.
