Dr. Annette van Dyck-Hemming is a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics' Music Department since 2014. She holds a PhD in Musicology from the University of Bonn (2002) and a Master's in Musicology, Ecclesiastical History, and Old Germanic Studies from the University of Bochum (1993). Her research focuses on the history of German-speaking musicology, music historiography, US music history, and digital humanities. She co-edited the 2023 special issue Musikwissenschaftliche Gesellschaften und Zeitschriften and contributed to the revision of the Riemann Musik Lexikon (2012).
