Annette Horstmann

Dr. Annette Horstmann is an Associate Professor for Behavioural and Brain Sciences at the Department of Psychology and Logopedics, Medical Faculty, University of Helsinki, Finland. She leads a research group in cooperation with the University of Helsinki, focusing on the neurobiology of human obesity. Her affiliations include the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, Germany. She holds a PhD in Neurobiology from Ruhr-Universität Bochum (2008) and has held postdoctoral positions at the Max Planck Institute and University Clinic Leipzig. Her research is part of initiatives like the O'BRAIN Lab, IFB AdiposityDiseases, and SFB 1052 (Obesity Mechanisms).
