Prof. Anneloes van Baar is a Professor of Pedagogical Diagnostics and Treatment at Utrecht University, affiliated with the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences and the Clinical Child and Family Studies department. Her research focuses on developmental outcomes of preterm infants, parenting practices, and gender socialization. She has held academic roles since 2008, including professorships at Tilburg University (2003–2008) and managerial roles in healthcare psychology.
Key research areas include the psychosocial development of young children, early intervention programs (e.g., 'Development First!'), and neurodevelopmental consequences of preterm birth. She leads the Dynamics of Youth research group and contributes to clinical practices as a mental health psychologist.
