Dr. Anne Walsh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at Lakehead University since August 2007. Her interdisciplinary work bridges social work with creative and philosophical practices.
- Education: PhD from University of Toronto; MSW, BA (Psychology), and BSW from McMaster University
Research Interests focus on:
- Intersection of art and social work practice
- Role of spirituality in social work
- Child welfare systems and their psychological impact on professionals
- Support systems for unpaid caregivers of elderly populations
- Preservation of social work core values amidst professionalization pressures
