Anne Vaugon is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics of Orsay, part of the Université Paris-Saclay. She is affiliated with the research team 'Topologie et Dynamique' (Topology and Dynamics). Her primary research focuses on differential geometry, low-dimensional topology, and contact geometry, particularly the dynamical properties of Reeb fields and contact homology. She earned her PhD under the supervision of Vincent Colin at the Université de Nantes, where she studied contact structures and their geometric properties.
She collaborates with the Analysis Situs project, exploring algebraic topology inspired by Henri Poincaré's work. Her research contributions include studies on orbit growth in contact structures, periodic orbits after bypass attachments, and growth rate analysis in contact homology. She has published in journals like Annales Henri Lebesgue and Algebraic and Geometric Topology.
Her academic background includes a master's thesis on the 'Théorème des livres ouverts' (Open Book Theorem) under Vincent Colin. She maintains active involvement in teaching, focusing on preparation for the agrégation exams and advanced mathematical education.
