Prof. Anne Moreau is a Professor at the Université Paris-Saclay, affiliated with the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Orsay (Department of Mathematics, Orsay), part of the Faculty of Sciences of Orsay. She holds the title of Director of the Bibliothèque Jacques Hadamard and coordinates the IRN Representation Theory. Her research focuses on representation theory, vertex algebras, W-algebras, and geometric aspects of Lie algebras. She has organized numerous international conferences and collaborates widely, including with Tomoyuki Arakawa on a book about arc spaces and vertex algebras. She has advised multiple PhD students and postdocs, and her work spans algebraic geometry, geometric representation theory, and quantum symmetries.
Education and career highlights include a PhD from Université Paris 7 (2006, under Jean-Yves Charbonnel), an HDR from Université de Poitiers (2012), and previous professorships at University of Lille (2017–2020) and Poitiers (2009–2016). She serves on editorial boards, including as editor-in-chief of Panoramas et Synthèses.
Her recent publications explore topics like affine VOAs, symplectic singularities, and motivic integration. She teaches advanced courses in representation theory and vertex algebras, contributing to both research and education in mathematics.
