Anne-Sophie Bergot

Anne-Sophie Bergot is a Research Fellow at the Frazer Institute, University of Queensland. Her research examines immune tolerance mechanisms and autoimmune diseases, with current focus on gut microbiome interactions in spondyloarthropathy pathogenesis.

Her work has demonstrated the feasibility of antigen-specific liposome immunotherapy for Type 1 Diabetes, leading to first-in-human clinical trials. Current research investigates how gut pathobionts and commensals influence inflammatory arthritis development using SKG mouse models.

Dr. Bergot collaborates on multiple funded projects exploring intestinal dysbiosis in autoimmune conditions. Her research integrates immunology, microbiome studies, and translational approaches to develop novel therapeutic strategies.
