Anne Siegetsleitner is a University Professor of Practical Philosophy at the University of Innsbruck and Head of the Department of Philosophy (2021–2025). She holds memberships in the University Senate, serves as Ombudsperson for Scientific Integrity, and contributes to national committees like the Gene Technology Commission. Her academic career includes habilitation from the University of Salzburg (2012) and prior positions at the University of Vienna and University of Salzburg. She has led FWF-Elise-Richter projects and DFG research groups focusing on ethics in genetic engineering and internet privacy.
Her research spans general ethics, applied ethics (privacy, bioethics), cultural philosophy, and history of logical empiricism. Key areas include Vienna Circle studies, normative ethics, feminist ethics, and the philosophical analysis of technology. She has published extensively on topics like AI accountability, pandemic ethics, and Carnap's philosophical contributions.
Her recent work emphasizes ethical challenges in digital transformation, medical technology, and social crises.
