Anne Reinert

Anne Reinert is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at Western Carolina University (WCU), part of the College of Health and Human Sciences. She holds an AAS in Nursing from Southwestern Community College (2003) and an MSN in Nursing Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2015). Her career spans eight years as a med/surg telemetry nurse, six years as a Nurse Manager in acute care settings, and one year as an adjunct instructor at WCU and Southwestern Community College.

Her teaching focuses on Leadership, Professional Nursing Practice, and Geriatric Nursing, with experience in both traditional undergraduate and RN-BSN programs. Research interests include change management in clinical and educational settings, empathy in patient care, and support systems for nursing students and colleagues. She is currently pursuing a Post-Masters Nurse Educator Certification.
