Anne O'Dwyer

Dr. Anne O'Dwyer is a Professor of Psychology and Director of Institutional Research at Bard College at Simon's Rock. She holds affiliations with the Division of Social Studies and the Psychology department. Her research focuses on social psychology, interpersonal conflict resolution, the psychology of the self, and road rage. Dr. O'Dwyer has authored articles in journals such as the British Journal of Social Psychology, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, and Peabody Journal of Education, and has presented at major conferences including the American Psychological Association and Society for Personality and Social Psychology.

Teaching Interests: Introduction to Psychology, Conflict and Conflict Resolution, Developmental Psychology, Research Methods, Political Psychology.

Professional Experience: Previously taught at Boston College and UMass Boston; served as President of the New England Psychological Association (NEPA). From 2008–2016, she held administrative roles at Simon's Rock as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Academic Dean.

Student Engagement: Mentored students who have presented research at national/regional conferences. Active in student outcomes and human research reviews.
