Professor Dame Anne Marie Rafferty is a leading academic in Nursing Policy at King's College London. Her research focuses on healthcare workforce dynamics, nursing history, and policy development. She has contributed to over 150 peer-reviewed publications and led/co-investigated 54 research projects including the NIHR-funded Health and Social Care Workforce Research Unit (HSCWRU) (2024-2028). Her work addresses global nursing shortages, pandemic responses, and healthcare system resilience.
Key projects include evaluating nurse staffing systems, care home social distancing strategies during the pandemic, and longitudinal studies on healthcare worker well-being.
