Dr. Anne M. Dix serves as an Assistant Professor at the Eisenhower School, part of the National Defense University. She is a career Senior Foreign Service Officer (Counselor) with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), specializing in international development. Her roles include USAID Country Representative for Botswana, where she advised the U.S. Ambassador on development initiatives, and Director of USAID’s Office of American Schools and Hospitals Abroad, a major public diplomacy program. She has over 25 years of experience managing inclusive programs across health, infrastructure, education, water, environment, agriculture, and natural resources in regions including Central/South America, West/Southern Africa, and South/Southeast Asia.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Georgia
- B.A. from Mount Holyoke College
