معرفی
Dr. Anne-Louise Latif serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow's School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing with affiliate status in the School of Cancer Sciences. Her clinical practice is based at the BMT and Cellular Therapy Unit of Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she integrates translational research with patient care in hematological malignancies.
Her research program centers on molecular mechanisms and therapeutic innovations in leukemia, particularly acute and chronic myeloid leukemias. Key focus areas include epigenetic regulation (BRD4/p53 pathways), stem cell survival mechanisms, and cellular immunotherapies. She investigates combination therapies targeting differentiation blockade and residual disease persistence, bridging basic science with clinical applications through laboratory studies and phase II trials.
Analysis of her 2013-2021 publications reveals evolving emphasis from stem cell pathway characterization (2013-2016) toward translational applications including CAR-T infrastructure development (2021) and novel drug combinations for residual disease (2020). Her work consistently targets therapeutic vulnerabilities in leukemia stem cells across multiple disciplines including molecular oncology, immunotherapy, and clinical pharmacology.
Dr. Latif operates within the multidisciplinary BMT and Cellular Therapy Unit at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, collaborating with clinical and laboratory teams to advance stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy protocols for blood cancer patients.
