Anne Line Sund

Anne Line Sund is an Associate Professor of Ceramic Art at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHIO), specializing in experimental approaches to clay and surface materials. With expertise in ceramic methods and techniques, her work explores the dynamic relationship between material properties and artistic processes. She holds a degree from KHIO and studied in Portugal under a state scholarship.

Sund's practice includes extensive exhibition history with solo shows internationally, works acquired by major Norwegian and Swedish collections/museums, and participation in projects like Ceramic Workout Nigeria (2007). She has held leadership roles including General Manager of RAM Gallery and active positions in artist organizations and cultural centers.

Her teaching philosophy emphasizes adaptability to individual temperaments through planned, intuitive, or calculated investigations in ceramic art. Collaborative workshop environments at KHIO benefit from her openness and emphasis on material engagement.
