معرفی
Associate Professor Anne Lagendijk is an academic at the University of Queensland (UQ), holding roles as Centre Director of the Centre for Cardiovascular Health and Research, Senior Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, and Affiliate Senior Research Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Utrecht University.
Research Focus: Her work centers on vascular biology, particularly cellular mechanisms maintaining vascular integrity and development. Using zebrafish models and bioengineered human microvessels, her lab investigates how mechanical forces influence vascular adaptation. Key projects include developing biosensors for VE-cadherin tension and modeling vascular diseases like cerebral cavernous malformations.
Grants & Funding: Current grants include NHMRC IDEAS Grants for Cerebral Cavernous Malformations and ARC Discovery Projects on venous vessel integrity. Past funding covers vascular mechanobiology and lymphatic development.
Supervision: She advises PhD projects on vascular pathogenesis, mechanosensing, and tumor-associated vasculature. Notable supervisees include studies on c-Src in aortic disease and lymphatic lineage specification.
Labs & Collaborations: Her lab integrates live imaging, CRISPR mutagenesis, and bioengineering to study vascular dynamics. Collaborations span institutions like the Institute for Molecular Bioscience and The Cure Starts Now Foundation.
