Anne Lafosse is a Lecturer at the Institute of Molecular Sciences of Orsay (ISMO), a joint research unit of University of Paris-Saclay and CNRS, and serves as Deputy Director of Education at the Graduate School Research and Higher Education of University of Paris-Saclay since 2022.
Her educational background includes an engineering degree from ESPCI Paris (1997) and a DEA in molecular physicochemistry from Université Paris-Sud (now University of Paris-Saclay), followed by a doctorate in 2000 on "Vector correlations in the dissociative photoionisation of diatomic molecules induced by polarised light".
Dr. Lafosse's research explores electron-induced processes across multiple domains:
- Surface Science: Molecular grafting on electronic surfaces, particularly synthetic diamond for detectors.
- Radiation Chemistry: Quantifying electron-induced damage in biological systems for radiobiology modeling.
- Astrochemistry: Applying electron-driven nanolithography to study molecular formation and desorption in interstellar ice analogs, supporting James Webb Space Telescope observations.
She has led collaborative projects in European networks including EPIC (2002-2005), EIPAM (2005-2008), ECCL (2007), CELINA (2013), and ELENA (2016). In education, she has directed Master's programs since 2011, modernizing curricula with modular structures and research-based learning. As Deputy Director, she promotes interdisciplinary research education through initiatives like the Junior Multidisciplinary Congress and develops micro-credit certification in the EUGLOH alliance.
Her research is conducted at ISMO, with international collaborations including the Technion (Israel) and the ELENA network.
