Anne Hartman

Anne Hartman serves as a Research Fellow within the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Goldsmiths College, University of London, a constituent college of the federal University of London system.

Her scholarly work centers on cultural history of confession and nineteenth-century British literary traditions, with particular emphasis on gender dynamics and expressive politics. Current projects include a cultural history monograph titled The Labour of Expression: The Politics and Poetics of Confession in Nineteenth-Century Britain and critical studies of Romantic-Victorian poets Felicia Hemans and Letitia Landon for the Writers and Their Works series (Northcote House).
