A.M.H. (Anne) Gauthier is an Honorary Professor of Comparative Family Studies at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences of the University of Groningen. She also holds the position of Senior researcher at the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI), which is affiliated with the University.
