Anne Gaquere

Dr. Anne Gaquere is an Assistant Vice-President for Education Abroad and Grants and a tenured full Professor of Chemistry at the University of West Georgia (UWG). She holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Rouen, France (2000), and 18 graduate hours in Art History. She serves as a co-director of the STEM Teacher Preparation program and has led numerous STEAM Teacher training workshops. Her research spans Chemistry and Art, with a focus on pigment synthesis, material science, and interdisciplinary education. She has secured over $4 million in grants as PI/co-PI for projects in Chemistry-Art integration, STEM education, and leadership development. Dr. Gaquere teaches courses such as Chemistry and Art, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, and Drugs and Drug Abuse.
