Prof. Anne-Francoise Rutkowski is a Full Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM), specializing in Information Systems and Operations Management. She holds editorial roles including on the MIS Quarterly and serves on research grant panels in Hong Kong and Finland.
Her research focuses on cybersecurity, AI ethics, digital transformation, and the 'dark side' of IT such as overload/addiction. Applications emphasize High Reliability Organizations (HROs) in public/private sectors like healthcare, military, and banking. Recent work explores AI's dual role in cyber defense and its impact on information security managers.
Awardees of the Philips innovation prize and AMCIS recognition, she has published 63+ works. Key contributions include the 2019 book Cognitive and Emotional Overload and studies on cyber defense strategies for small states. She supervises PhD projects on IT's dark side, cybersecurity, and augmented reality applications.
