Prof. Dr. Anne Eusterschulte is a distinguished Professor of History of Philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy, Freie Universität Berlin. Her academic career spans interdisciplinary research in Philosophy of the Renaissance and Early Modern Period, 18th Century Philosophy, and Contemporary Social Philosophy. She co-leads the EXC 2020 Temporal Communities cluster and serves as co-editor of the Critical Edition of Hannah Arendt’s Complete Works.
Research Interests include the Reception of Ancient Philosophy, Metaphysics, Philosophy of Religion, and Interdisciplinary Philology with a focus on premodern anthology practices. Her 2025 Habilitationsschrift on Mimesis and Aesthetic Truth bridges classical and modern aesthetic theories. She has held research fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science and Hebrew University Jerusalem.
