Anne Ellen Geller is a Professor and Director of Writing Across Communities in the Department of English at St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, St. John's University. Her work focuses on writing pedagogy, writing center administration, and Vincentian values in education. She leads initiatives to integrate writing across disciplines and promote meaningful connections between students and faculty.
Her research interests include meaning-centered writing, digital literacy, anti-racism in academic spaces, and the role of writing centers in fostering student success. She has pioneered programs like faculty/staff writing retreats and collaborated on frameworks such as self-authorship theory for supporting academic writers.
Her recent publications (2024-2025) analyze epochal time in writing centers, citation networks in writing journals, and strategies for enhancing personal connections in student writing.
